When you send an error to Flare, we group the exception using the top-most frame in your stack trace. We use information such as the exception class, the line number and file that this exception occurred in to group errors that happened in that same location together.
In addition to grouping errors by the top frame location, you can also choose to group errors by the exception class and the exception message - no matter where that exception took place.
In order to switch the default grouping type, you can configure it globally in your
config/flare.php file, by setting the
reporting.grouping_type key to either
\Facade\FlareClient\Enums\GroupingTypes::EXCEPTION - like this:
'reporting' => [
'anonymize_ips' => true,
'collect_git_information' => true,
'report_queries' => true,
'maximum_number_of_collected_queries' => 200,
'report_query_bindings' => true,
'report_view_data' => true,
'grouping_type' => \Facade\FlareClient\Enums\GroupingTypes::EXCEPTION,
This will force all errors that you send from your application to get grouped by the exception class and message.
